WSBK: Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse comunicato stampa Portimao - Qualifiche del venerdì

LACONI IN SUPERPOLE PROVVISORIA

Un risultato alquanto positivo quello ottenuto dal pilota del team Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse Regis Laconi, che conquista la 9^a posizione nella prima sessione di qualifiche sul nuovissimo circuito di Portimao in Portogallo, e migliora il suo tempo di ben oltre 2 secondi rispetto alle prove libere del mattino.

Lo splendido tracciato non porta gli stessi risultati al suo compagno di squadra Makoto Tamada che non riesce a raggiungere il feeling tanto sperato a causa di una forte mancanza di grip e termina la sessione in 30^a piazza.

Ottime anche le prestazioni del giovane Ayrton Badovini che entra in Superpole provvisoria con la 16^a posizione.

REGIS LACONI #55: “Sono a dir poco entusiasta del nuovo circuito, dinamico dall’inizio alla fine. Abbiamo lavorato molto bene durante l’intera sessione di qualifiche, migliorando nettamente i risultati ottenuti nelle prove libere del mattino.

Ero così preso che rientrando ai box per fare un cambio gomme, non mi sono reso conto che mancavano solo 3 minuti al termine della sessione, per cui non sono riuscito a migliorare ulteriormente il mio tempo. Sono molto fiducioso e domani potrebbe essere la mia qualifica migliore dell’ intera stagione”.

MAKOTO TAMADA # 100: “ Il nuovo tracciato portoghese è fantastico ma purtroppo la mancanza di grip non mi permette di sentire la moto come vorrei.

Nelle prove libere del mattino non ho avuto particolari problematiche per cui abbiamo deciso di mantenere il set-up per le qualifiche del pomeriggio.

Questo però non ha portato grossi miglioramenti. Dobbiamo assolutamente risolvere il problema per le qualifiche di domani perché vorrei davvero riuscire a dare al team un buon risultato in quest’ultima gara della stagione”.

LACONI IN THE PROVISIONAL SUPERPOLE

An extremely positive result the one achieved by Regis Laconi of Kawasaki PSG-1 Corse team who finished the first qualifying session in 9^th position at the new portuguese track in Portimao.

The wonderful circuit didn’t bring the same results to his team mate Makoto Tamada who didn’t find the feeling because of a great lack of grip and finished the qualifying in 30^th placement.

Excellent performance the one achieved by Ayrton Badovini who gained the 16^th position and is the Provisory Superpole.

REGIS LACONI #55: “ I’m totally enthusiastic of the new track which is really dynamic. We worked really hard and well during the entire qualifying session improving a lot the results achieved in the free practice of the morning.

I was so focused on the track that when I returned into the pit garage to make a tyre’s change to further on improve the result, I didn’t realize that the session was finishing in about 3 minutes so I have not been able to improve the time further on. I’m really confident of tomorrow and it think it can be my best qualify of the entire season”.

MAKOTO TAMADA #100: “ The new Portuguese track is fantastic but unfortunately the lack of grip didn’t permit me to feel the bike as I would like.

In the free practice session of the morning I hadn’t any particular problem so we decided to maintain the same set-up for the afternoon session but this didn’t bring any improvements.

We absolutely have to solve the problem for tomorrow’s qualifying session as I really want to give to the team a good result in this last round”.
