SBK - Kawasaki Team PSG-1 - Phillip Island Race

Durante la notte il piede di Ayrton Badovini, vittima di una caduta durante la giornata di qualifiche di ieri, si è gonfiato ulteriormente rivelando una rottura al malleolo, per cui il giovane pilota della PSG-1 Corse ha dovuto rinunciare dal partecipare alle gare di oggi.

Matteo Baiocco, costretto a ritirarsi in gara 1 a causa del chattering dovuto ad un problema di elettronica, porta invece a termine gara 2, acquisendo dati importanti.

Risultati che non allarmano più di tanto il team che, già prima dello sbarco in Australia, aveva deciso di considerare questo primo round come importanti test per sviluppare la Kawasaki ZX-10R.

MATTEO BAIOCCO#15: “ Considerando che questa prima gara era per noi un test, siamo abbastanza soddisfatti delle importanti informazioni acquisite durante il week end che sicuramente ci daranno altre basi per affrontare la prossima gara che si terrà in Qatar tra 2 settimane. Abbiamo sicuramente tanto lavoro da affrontare ancora e credo che riusciremo a trarre i primi riscontri importanti dal terzo round a Valencia”.

AYRTON BADOVINI#86: “ Speravo di poter partecipare alle gare oggi ma purtroppo la rottura al piede avrebbe compromesso le mie prestazioni ed abbiamo deciso di non gareggiare, per non rischiare complicazioni ed essere in piena forma per la prossima gara. Peccato davvero perché il mio week end si è concluso proprio quando cominciavo a migliorare”.

During the night Ayrton Badovini’s foot became really swollen after yesterday crash and the team decided not to take the risk of compromising next round, which will take place in Qatar, so he didn’t take part to today’s races.

Matteo Baiocco retired in race 1 because of the important chattering accused due to an electrical problem, but he finished race 2 which helped the team to collect important data.

The team from San Marino is not alarmed from these first results as it decided to use this round to test the Kawasaki ZX-10R properly.

MATTEO BAIOCCO#15: “ We are not scared about these first results as this round was a test for us and we collected lots of important information during this week end which is a step forward to face next round which will be in Qatar. We still have lots of work to do and I think we’ll be able to make the first good results for Valencia round”.

AYRTON BADOVINI#86: “ I really wanted to participate to today’s races but unfortunately my foot has been compromised by yesterday’s crash and we decided not to take the risk to compromise next round by competing today. It’s a pity because my week end stopped just when I started to make improvements”.
